Cute Design, Not as Durable

Brownie is not rough with her toys. I have burrow toys that have the same miniz, that are well over 3 years old. She still plays with all those just fine. For some reason though, after a few squeaks the stuffing has already started coming out. So 5 stars for the colorful, cute design and 1 star for the miniz durability + lack of replacement option brings it to 3 stars. If you’re only buying this for how it looks then go for it but there are plenty of other burrow options offered that are just as cute

I received the piñata burrow in a birthday gift box that I bought through another group. My dog loves playing with the candies inside the burrow. But she has chewed through them and some of stuffing is exposed and I have to throw them out. I contacted the company and indicated the miniz could be substituted. So I bought three miniz unicorn through an on-line provider. But I can only fit two inside. They are probably the same size as the candies but the candies are flat with the felt twists on the end. So it is very disappointing that the company does not make the replacement candies meant for the piñata burrow. I gave three stars since there are no replacement candies.

I bought this on a whim for my lab/mastiff Ren! He loves puzzle toys, but they usually get ripped apart quickly. These little candies we call them “ribs” have been his favourite toy since he was a pup! He takes such good care of them, he doesn’t let anyone rip them or tear them apart and takes them EVERYWHERE with him.
However, he does have a sister who LOVES to rip apart squeak toys. So anytime they’re not supervised, they get torn.
I wish you sold refills for them!

I came to this site to see how many candies came with this toy. Decided to leave a review when I saw one that had a similar issue we had.
Both of our dogs loved this toy. Both are Shepard mixes. Today our puppy (5 mo old) vomited and up came one of the candies whole. Soon after he vomited up two more.
If you have a larger dog or a growing puppy watch them carefully or these may get ingested whole.

My dog loves this toy and loves to throw around the candies. Its like playing hide and seek just to find the candies. Wish that i could buy the candies separate, to stuff the piñata more.

My dog was super excited to play with this and I thought I had made a good choice. Turned my back for about five minutes and found he had chewed up the little “candies” and I think he actually ate one! I found what I think is all of the fluff from two but only one squeaker and the cloth parts were just gone!!! The third one was completely intact so I took that one away. He’s got lots of stuffed toys but he’s never eaten one. Really disturbing. Maybe this is just better for much smaller dogs but there was no indication of this on the packaging.

Astro loves the piñatasince always, he is already 2 years old and we have bought him 3 because it is his favorite toy, he takes it everywhere and loves to take out the candies, a lot of fun and mental training

I have a 1 year old mini dachshund named Scuba and this is his absolute favorite toy. he LOVES getting those little candies out. it satisfies his need to burrow/dig, which usually leads him to rip the stuffing out of any other toy. he plays with this toy all day long. he loves taking the candies out, putting them into hiding spots, then playing with the piñata. highly recommend for any dog with burrowing/digging tendencies. and definitely recommend for dachshunds.
