I was having too much fun watching her play with this to get a picture, but I really wish I had… I didn’t think her flat face could get done in those holes very well and I was afraid I would have to give this toy to another dog to enjoy but she had a lot of fun getting them out… she got all three hedgehogs out three times in a row as soon as it came out of the box… I don’t know about you? But I’d call that a win!!!!

Pug able to navigate this toy successfully

My small Pug was successful in getting her flat face into the soft openings to retrieve the hedgehog. Wore her completely out! I was afraid she would be unsuccessful but WRONG!! Even better….takes her a while to get them out. Can’t wait to try more of these toys. The “burrow house” is super soft and doesn’t rub on her little face.
Your review was what nudged me to buy this for my French bulldog. I also bought the foxes the squirrels, and the arctic wolf and my dog gets them out just fine…. if it weren’t for your review, I don’t think I would’ve tried them so thanks. it can sometimes be hard to find puzzle toys for flat faced dogs.

Obsession!!
Zippy Burrow® – Hedgehog Den
We have at least three hedgehog dens around our house. Our precious little rescue, Panda, was introduced to these little hedgehogs not long after she arrived at our place. It was love and obsession at first sight. These little hedgehogs are soft and can be dug out of their dens and then thrown like balls. Or the entire den can be thrown. If your dog chews toys, I’m not sure how the dens or hedgehogs would hold up. Panda also loves to pull the hedgehogs out of their dens. The reason these hedgehogs have to be occasionally replaced is because they get so crusty. I’ve given the hedgehogs baths with shampoo and conditioner, but I cannot seem to remove the crustiness of the older hedgehogs, so I just covertly replace them with newer ones.

Our 30 lb rescue LOVES these hedgehogs. They are, hands down, her favorite toy. I keep having to buy replacements, because I can’t find them. She carries them around in her mouth, even taking them outside when she goes on squirrel watch. We have a couple that are old and pretty grungy, but I can’t get rid of them.
