Sunflower Spinner

My corgi mix, Cheddar, loves puzzles. I got her this sunflower spinner toy thinking it would be pretty straightforward for her. While she was able to get all of the treats in the lower level, she had some difficulty getting the top level to separate from the mid level. The top spinner has some kind of locking/settling mechanism that makes it more challenging than the way the middle section freely spins from the bottom. Overall, it’s a cute puzzle that requires some extra maneuvering to get those treats.

I was so excited when I found this because it’s so stinking cute and my dog enjoys a good slow feeder. Unfortunately I feel like I’m wrestling to try to take apart the layers to clean it. I only succeeded in taking off the green part and gave up after five minutes of trying to take off the middle yellow part. And given that there are multiple pieces and lots of nooks and crannies, I won’t keep it if I can’t get it properly cleaned. The little pieces in the middle meant to be pushed in to pull the pieces apart just does not work as intended. Very disappointed but I will be returning it.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t play with this, but I’d have to pay to ship it back. She has a snuffle matt and a ball I put food in that entice her more than this does. This scares her.

It’s hard for us to get out during the spring where the dogs can really RUN daily because of all of the mud (without giving daily baths, that’s another story!) so we’re always looking for fun ways to get the dogs brains working, and this puzzle feeder does just that! They get SO excited to play, and it’s so easy to refill a couple of times with their kibble or treats, leaving them feeling fulfilled (and full) after they work for their food. This one was pretty easy for them to figure out. I also love that it is dishwasher safe! Highly recommend these puzzle feeders!
