Best Moments From the City of Brea Pet Expo

Event season is officially in full swing, and ZippyPaws kicked things off with a tail-wagging debut at the Seventh Annual City of Brea Pet Expo. From meeting local pet lovers to supporting incredible rescue efforts, it was a day packed with community, connection, and plenty of squeaks.

Held at the Brea Community Center, the Pet Expo brought together pet parents, animal organizations, and vendors for a fun, educational day centered around responsible pet ownership. Guests explored everything from unique pet products and services to adoption opportunities and live demonstrations – including impressive appearances from local Police K-9 units showcasing obedience, scent detection, and training drills.

Our First Time in Brea

For our first-ever appearance at the event, ZippyPaws showed up ready to play. We brought along a lineup of fan-favorite dog and cat toys while also spreading the word about our 15th Anniversary celebration – a milestone we’ve been beyond excited to share with our community.

One of the best highlights? Giving back in a big way. We were proud to offer our award-winning ZippyClaws Birthday Party 6-Pack toys for FREE to newly adopted cats from Cats in Tow Rescue & Sanctuary*, helping send these lucky felines off to their forever homes with something fun to celebrate.

*Founded in 2004 by Judith Serafini, Cats in Tow Rescue & Sanctuary began with TNR efforts to care for stray and feral cats in Anaheim. Since then, the organization has expanded its rescue and adoption programs through partnerships with local shelters and adoption centers, helping countless cats find loving homes.

Vendor Village Vibes

The expo floor was filled with amazing local vendors and organizations, including Pet Supplies Plus, Canine Rehabilitation of Orange County, PawPrint Creations, Soda Besties, Pawfect Dog Barkery, Girls of Dog Rescue, One Dane at a Time, Barks & Bubbles, and many more. From treats to training resources, there was something for every kind of pet parent.

A Community-Driven Day

From educational booths to live demonstrations and adoption success stories, the City of Brea Pet Expo truly delivered on its mission: bringing people together through a shared love of animals. With affordable admission, free parking, and activities for all ages, it’s easy to see why this event continues to grow year after year.

Until Next Time…

Our first Brea Pet Expo is officially in the books – and if this is how event season starts, we can’t wait to experience what comes next. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, shared a smile, or brought their pup (or kitty!) to say hi.
